This embroidered picture sits on top of my bookshelf in the living room. I saw it at an indoor flea market in Lansing, MI and I couldn’t walk away without it! The fact that it cost less than $10 sealed the deal. It was destined to come live with me. I like to imagine that it’s somewhere in Key West – a very nice daydream considering spring is taking its sweet time coming to Michigan.

  1. I just die when I see embroidery at such a low price. It’s really hours of work. I’m afraid more have come home with me, just because I need to rescue them.

    1. There was a whole wall of these embroidered pieces. I was so shocked when I saw the price. There’s now way I could make it myself for that cost. I did have to come home with me – it was its destiny!

    1. I think it’s very cute. Would love to have a setup like this, but it’d have to be in a sunroom instead of outdoors here in Michigan.

    1. I used to cross stitch, so I couldn’t believe it when I checked the price on this. It is one of the smaller pieces offered at the flea market booth, but I consider it a little jewel of needlework.

    1. It is fun to travel around (the internet) and see so many great photos. Got a glimpse of spring this week, even though it hasn’t arrived at my house!

  2. It is beautiful – it’s crewel work. My mother used to do a lot of it a few years back. No Snapshot from me this week, because I only got back from Mum’s yesterday, but I like to see what everyone is doing!

    1. I knew there was a specific name for that type of embroidery! I’ve never tried it myself, but it is very lovely. Thanks for stopping by!
