“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
When I was in the fifth grade I decided I wanted to become a writer. In English class I wrote a story about a talking car. My classmates asked the teacher to read it twice. I was hooked. However, that dream of writing stories got buried in life.
Fast forward to a couple years ago. I was publishing my beadwork designs on a pretty regular basis, but something was missing. I still wanted to write stories. I discovered flash fiction, tiny stories that top out in the 1000 word range, and I was hooked again. I have written flash fiction stories spanning from horror to humor. Bouncing around between genres and characters has been a delight.
In 2013 I started a new writing venture. I am focusing on writing in my favorite genre, culinary fiction. I love cooking almost as much as I love writing, so in my opinion you just can’t get any better than stories filled with good food.
